Our Residential Siding Installation Process:
Kollmann Exteriors starts by ordering and having the product delivered to your building-site on time and then inspected for accuracy and quality. Our skilled siding team will then carefully remove your home’s old siding. The project lead will inspect all exterior sheathing for rot or decaying pieces and replace the sheathing where needed.
The entire house, townhome or out-building will then receive a house wrap.
What is “house wrap?”
House wrap is like putting a windbreaker over a sweater on a cold, windy day. It adds a protective barrier to the building, especially important for siding projects in Alaska. Additionally, all window and door openings will receive a drip cap and a rubber tape around all 4 sides to prevent any wind or water from making its way in.
Our highly trained team of siding installers can custom bend metal flashings and fascia where needed for that custom fit.
Finally, it’s time to install the siding, corners, window trim to the structure.
